Hemas Pharmaceuticals a subsidiary of Hemas Holdings partnered with cricket icons Mahela Jayawardena and Kumar Sangakkara to gift the Lady Ridgeway Hospital (LRH) their first PCR machine. This project was initiated by Mahela Jayawardena to ensure the timely intervention in caring for the children during this difficult time.
The donation was made to Dr. G. Wijesuriya, Director of Lady Ridgeway Hospital by Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardena, Kasturi Chellaraja Wilson, CEO of Hemas Holdings and Jude Fernando, Managing Director of Hemas Pharmaceuticals Sharing his thoughts on the donation, Jude Fernando Managing Director of Hemas Pharmaceuticals said, “since the beginning of the pandemic, the Hemas Group has actively assisted the Government of Sri Lanka in their efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently, we donated a PCR machine to the National Hospital in Sri Lanka and at present we are playing a leading role in the nation’s vaccination efforts against COVID-19.
